- Slow Pitch Leagues – The Norton Shores Recreation Dept. coordinates summer and fall slow pitch leagues. We've gotten off to a late start in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are looking at a start for this year's leagues of the week of June 29! Sign-ups will be accepted through Friday, June 19 - call the Parks Office at 231-799-6802 for details. Click here for a copy of our Softball Action Plan for Maintaining Covid-19 Mandates.
- All games are played at Ross Park, Monday through Friday evenings. Team registrations for the summer leagues begin in early February and for fall leagues in late July. All league teams are registered with NSA (National Softball Association) and leagues are governed by NSA rules (except where particular Ross Park "house" rules apply.
- Slow Pitch Tournaments - In 2020, Ross Park will also host several NSA-sanctioned softball tournaments. Visit www.playnsa.com for information on dates and tournament registration.
During the slowpitch season at Ross Park, the Parks Dept. offers the opportunity to have an advertising banner installed on our outfield fences. Your banner will be visible for the hundreds of people who use Ross Park every summer for picnics, softball games, and other events. Of course, if you choose to have your banner placed on the exterior of the outfield fence, it will also be visible to cars driving past the park all summer long. Please see our Softball Advertising Application for more details.
